Is Arjun Kapoor In Mubarakan A Cuter Sardar Than Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor & Saif Ali Khan?
Before Arjun Kapoor enthralls us with his cute Sardar act in Mubarakan, here is a list of 5 other actors who have played a Sikh with aplomb in the recent past...

Arjun Kapoor is all set to entertain fans with his Sardar avatar in Mubarakan. His Sikh act is comical no doubt, but audiences have already started referring to him as the cutest Sardar on social media. But there have been a number of other stars as well who have lived the role perfectly. Let's take a look at 5 such actors who have played cute Sardar characters in the recent past.
Akshay Kumar ( Happy Singh In Singh Is Kinng & Raftaar Singh In Singh Is Bliing)

Whenever you think of any actor playing a Sardar on-screen, the first name that comes to your mind will undoubtly be Akshay Kumar. He has donned the turban in films like Singh Is Kinng (2008) and Singh Is Bliing (2015). His funny antics as a Sardar make Akshay look even cuter on-screen. While Singh Is Kinng went on to become a big blockbuster, Singh Is Bliing was an average success.

Rocket Singh - Salesman Of The Year tanked at the box-office, but it was definitely one of Ranbir Kapoor's best performances. It was surely a surprise package to see Ranbir play a Sikh. This was the film that showed the younger generation of actors that they didn't have to go on the same path of romantic films - they could also do something different and still get noticed. Ranbir justified the character of Rocket Singh to perfection.

Ajay Devgn's first tryst as a Sardar on-screen was with Legend Of Bhagat Singh (2002), where he went on to win the National Film Award for playing the freedom fighter. His aggressive avatar was completely opposite to his second stint in Son Of Sardaar (2012).

Farhan Akhtar's portrayal of Milkha Singh in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) was his career’s one of the best performances. It not only turned out to be the best sports biopic ever made in Bollywood but also catapulted Farhan to heights of success as an actor. For his performance as the determined and sometimes vulnerable Sardar, he won all the possible best actor awards that year. The film went on to become massive at the ticket windows.

Saif Ali Khan had been playing cute chocolate boy characters till Imtiaz Ali decided to cast him as the lovable and righteous Sardar in Love Aaj Kal (2009). The romantic drama became a huge success at the box-office, and Saif was applauded a lot for nailing the character as a turbaned man. The movie changed the way Saif was perceived among the filmmakers, and now they were more than open to offer him roles beyond the guy next door genre.
A notable mention here would be of Shah Rukh Khan, who also donned the turban for his upcoming film Jab Harry Met Sejal. Even though he isn't wearing the turban throughout, but during a few song and dance sequences, he is seen playing a sardar, and he is looking super hot. Let's wait and watch how his performance is received once the movie releases on August 4.
